Bloodmage

When things happen to me,
I do not have the strength to face them, no power to battle for some lucidity,
For I am fragile,
And the only reason I haven't fallen of this small cliff yet is because my mind is agile,
Jumping from safeguard to safeguard, fleeing in front of this avatar of destruction,
Bound by mental chains, fallen to hate's seduction.
This avatar, together will al my pain grief sorrow and spiritual decay,
Get pushed aside, no glorious battle in which I prevail, I cowardly seal them away.
A mental drop of blood to bind them behind seven locks,
For each moment there are seven locks, and in total I have used more then 777x777 drops,
As it's the only way of not losing my sanity, my mental blood is the price,
For I am a bloodmage, and this is my sacrifice.
My magic allows me to freeze what's eating me,
And I know its just a matter of time before it once again gets free,
But at least it buys me time,
And if my blood magic can do that, that's just fine.
In time I will learn darker ways, more powerful spells, fuelled not only by blood, but also by hate.
For I am a bloodmage, and darkness is my fate.
